HOW DOES RESISTANCE SEAM WELDING WORK?
Resistance seam spot welding uses a high-density resistance spot welder to transfer heat through the wire and onto the base material. The combination of time and heat causes the metals to melt, creating a strong weld wire comprising of solidified metal dendrites that create an electrical circuit. This circuit is then interrupted and repaired by switching the power source on and off at specific intervals during the process. |
